Earlier this year, when Sally Dhillon, Nudge’s founder, started to dream about a new coaching business, the one thing she was certain about was that she wanted to create a purpose-driven, values-led organisation from day 1.

We believe when an organisation puts its core values at the centre of everything it does the results are:

  • authenticity

  • transparency

  • a moral compass that guides what gets done, with whom and for what purpose

  • commitment to service excellence.

One of our core values is Compassion

coaching with compassion

With each coaching client, we bring an empathic, kind approach to creating awareness, understanding and the potential for change.

Physical and mental well-being is also a very important part of this along with the sustainability of ourselves, our teams and the wider world.

Listening is an often-under-rated skill.

Benefits of working with a coach

One of the major benefits of working with a coach is the attention and information gained from having a trusted partner to skilfully listen and attend to what is being said (as well as what’s not being said!), leaving clients feeling:

Heard

Seen

Understood

And understood with total acceptance, and without judgement. This is indeed a rare gift we are able to provide for our clients.

Sue, one of our recent coaching clients, says this about her experience of being coached:

“Sally is a very skilled coach. Her empathy and understanding make it easy to be completely honest and open during our sessions … to help me overcome my challenges and achieve my goals”

Your leadership role

Like Sue, most of our clients want to work on becoming more strategic and influential in their leadership role so they can have a more significant impact on organisational performance and results – whether they’re part of a large organisation, leading a start-up venture or in the third sector.

They feel they’re not heard or seen sufficiently in their organisational roles. They think they don’t quite fit in or belong. They believe they aren’t quite good enough as they’re not valued and appreciated sufficiently for what they do and what they are capable of being.

Value for leaders

Armed with our value of compassion, for Nudge clients, we believe it translates into:

* being approachable – from the first time you make contact with us providing you with a warm, engaging welcome that continues

* being heart-led – recognising that we’re emotional human beings and that our emotional intelligence is key to developing influence and building resilience

* being respectful – appreciating you as you are and celebrating the courage it takes to being open to change.

Here’s a nudge for you …

1. How often do you feel seen, heard and understood as a leader?

2. How sustainable is your current situation?

3. When was the last time you were deeply listened to, without interruption and without judgement?
